Description
Carbon steel elbow refers to the elbow containing a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur and phosphorus in addition to carbon. According to smelting method, carbon steel stamping elbow can be divided into open hearth steel, converter steel and electric furnace steel; according to deoxidation method, it can be divided into boiling steel, killed steel, semi killed steel and special killed steel.
According to carbon content, carbon steel elbow can be divided into low carbon steel elbow, medium carbon steel elbow and high carbon steel elbow; according to phosphorus and sulfur content, carbon steel can be divided into ordinary carbon steel, high-quality carbon steel, high-quality quality steel and super high-quality steel. Generally, the higher the carbon content in carbon steel, the greater the hardness, the higher the strength, but the lower plasticity.

Characteristic
Carbon steel stamping elbow is a kind of forming technology which has been used in batch production of seamless elbow. At present, it has been replaced by hot push method or other forming process in the production of stainless steel elbow with common specifications, but it is still used in some elbow specifications because of the small quantity of production, the wall thickness is too thick or the product has special requirements.
The tube blank with the same outer diameter as the elbow is used for the stamping forming of the elbow, and the press is used to directly press the tube blank in the die. Because it is suitable for single piece production and low cost, stamping elbow process is mostly used for small batch and thick wall elbow manufacturing.
