Petroleum Carbon Steel DN1000 40mpa Socket Welding Flange

Description

The basic shape of socket welding flange is the same as that of flat welding flange with neck. A socket is opened in the inner hole of the flange, and the pipe is inserted into the socket and welded. Weld the weld ring on the back of the flange. The gap between the socket flange and the groove is easy to be corroded. If it is welded inside, the corrosion can be avoided.

The fatigue strength of socket welding flange is 5% higher than that of flat welding flange, and the static strength is the same. When using this socket end flange, its inner diameter must match the inner diameter of the pipe. Socket flanges are only suitable for pipes of nominal diameter 50 or less.

Application scope of socket welding flange: boiler, pressure vessel, petroleum, chemical, shipbuilding, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, machinery and elbow stamping industries. It is usually used in pipelines with PN ≤ 10.0 MPa and DN ≤ 50.

Characteristic

Socket welding flange design the flange body and socket as a whole structure, which avoids leakage caused by the failure to align the welding joint during welding. It has the advantages of simple structure, convenient use and good sealing performance. The rust treatment methods of socket welding flange are as follows:

1. Clean with abrasive cloth and wire brush.

2. Remove large area of rust with tungsten steel blade.

3. Remove welding slag and other protrusions and burrs with a file.

4. Use a scraper and wire brush to remove the corrosion at the edges and corners.

5. Clean with a clean rag, or dip the cloth with solvent for cleaning and timely apply primer.
