Description

Ductile iron elbow is made of spheroidal graphite by spheroidizing treatment, which can improve the mechanical properties of cast iron, strengthen the plasticity and toughness, so as to obtain the elbow with higher strength than carbon steel. The comprehensive properties of nodular cast iron are close to that of steel. It is used to cast some parts with huge force and high requirements of strength, toughness and wear resistance. Nodular cast iron has become a widely used cast iron material next only to gray cast iron. The so-called "replacing steel with iron" mainly refers to ductile iron castings.

Characteristic

Ductile iron elbow has strong corrosion resistance. Water spray corrosion test, 90 days of corrosion is only 1 / 40 of steel pipe, is 1 / 10 of gray iron pipe. Its service life is 2 times as long as that of gray iron pipe and 5 times as long as that of ordinary steel pipe. Elongation ≥ 7% is similar to that of high carbon steel, but the elongation of gray iron is zero.

Ductile iron elbow has high strength. Tensile strength ó B ≥ 420MPa, yield strength ó s ≥ 300mpa, the same as low carbon steel, is three times of gray iron material. The strength of nodular cast iron is comparable to that of cast steel. The yield strength of nodular cast iron is 40K, while that of cast steel is only 36K.
