Characteristic
Flat welding flange is the initial stage of forging deformation, because the porous preform is easy to deform, the deformation force is small, and the density increases rapidly. In the later stage of forging, because most of the pores are closed, the deformation resistance increases, and the deformation force required to eliminate the residual pores increases rapidly.
Flat welding flange, Deformation resistance is closely related to deformation temperature. Higher deformation temperature is beneficial to densification and reduces deformation resistance. Higher deformation speed is also beneficial to the densification of flange. The requirements of forging process for equipment are stricter than that of traditional die forging, and the displacement characteristics of punch must match the deformation and compactness characteristics of preform.
