Description
Stainless steel flange connection can be divided into five ways: flat welding, butt welding, socket welding, loose sleeve, threaded connection. Flat welding is only used to weld the outer layer, not the inner layer; it is commonly used in medium and low pressure pipelines, and the nominal pressure of the pipeline is less than 2.5MPa. There are three kinds of sealing surface of flat welding flange, which are smooth type, concave convex type and tenon groove type. Among them, smooth type is the most widely used, and the price is affordable and cost-effective.

Characteristic
Stainless steel flange is butt welding connection, the inner and outer layers of flange should be welded, generally used in medium and high pressure pipeline, the nominal pressure of pipeline is between 0.25 ~ 2.5MPa. The sealing surface of butt welding flange connection is concave convex type, and the installation is relatively complex, so the labor cost, installation method and auxiliary material cost are relatively high.
Stainless steel flange is socket welding connection, which is generally used in pipes with nominal pressure less than or equal to 10.0MPa and nominal diameter less than or equal to 40mm. Loose sleeve is generally used in the pipeline with low pressure but corrosive medium, so this kind of flange has strong corrosion resistance and is mainly made of stainless steel.
