Description

Socket welding flange has the same basic shape as the flat welding flange with neck. A socket is opened in the inner hole of the flange, the pipe is inserted into the socket and welded, and the weld ring is welded on the back of the flange. The gap between the flange and the pipe is easy to be corroded. If it is welded inside, the corrosion can be avoided.

Socket weld flange, The fatigue strength is 5% higher than that of flat welded flange, and the static strength is the same. When socket welding flanges are used, their inner diameter must match the inner diameter of the pipe. Socket flanges are only applicable to pipes with a nominal diameter of 50 or less.

Characteristic

Socket welding flange has good rigidity, small welding deformation and good sealing performance. It can be used for occasions with pressure of 1.0 ~ 10.0MPa and occasions with high sealing requirements. During design, socket welding flange can be checked as integral flange.
