 BTS Combo Strip Test Kit is a qualitative and rapid lateral flow assay designed to detect beta-lactam, tetracycline, and sulfonamide antibiotic residues in raw commingled cow’s milk.This test uses a uses novel antibiotic binding proteins which are highly active in milk and eliminate the need for a heating block. This test is designed for rapid field use or reference lab settings. The unique features of the kit are:

Procedure Overview

This method is based on competitive colloidal gold technology, adding 200uL of the milk sample to be tested into a transparent test paper card plastic reaction well or tube to make the freeze-dried reagent form a uniform pink suspension at the bottom of the microwell. Incubate briefly for 5 minutes to allow the three types of antibiotic complex proteins labeled with gold particles to bind to the three types of antibiotics in the milk. Then insert the test paper card vertically into the sample hole in the direction of the arrow so that the sample flows to the test strip. All gold-labeled particles that are not bound to the β-lactam tetracycline sulfonamides in the milk will be bound to the β-lactam tetracycline sulfonamides on the detection line (T-line). A red marking line is formed at the position of the detection line. If the gold-labeled antibody and the β-lactam tetracycline sulfonamides in the milk sample are combined, the gold label will flow through the detection line (T-line) to the control line (C-line), and visually determine the result. If the detection line (T-line) and control line (C-line) are both negative. The detection line (T-line) does not show color, and the control line (C-line) shows that the milk sample contains β-lactam tetracycline sulfonamides.
