Product introduction of Squishy Silicone Gel
"Squeeze Silicone" (also known as "Squeeze Gel" or "Jelly Gel") serves as the core raw material for crafting handmade stress-relief toys—specifically, "squeeze toys." Classified as a two-component, addition-curing liquid silicone, it consists of Component A (the base resin) and Component B (the curing agent), which undergo cross-linking and curing at room temperature when mixed in a 1:1 ratio.
The 5 Core Tactile Sensations of Squeezable Silicone
Clay-like Feel:Offers the highest resistance, akin to firm, resilient modeling clay. It requires significant effort to squeeze, and its rebound feels relatively solid.
Cement-like Feel:Falls between the "clay-like" and "water-like" sensations. It possesses both resistance and a certain degree of fluid softness, representing the most classic and balanced tactile experience.
Mud-like Feel: Softer than the "cement-like" variety, offering almost no noticeable resistance. It feels incredibly silky smooth when squeezed, though its rebound speed is relatively slow.
Water-like Feel:Extremely soft; the sensation is like squeezing a pool of water—effortless to press and featuring an exceptionally rapid rebound.
Cream-like Feel: The ultimate in softness—even softer than the "mud-like" variety—allowing you to squeeze it completely flat with ease.
It is ideal for users with weaker hand strength or those who prefer a completely resistance-free kneading experience.
Key Technical Parameters of Squishy Silicone Gel
Hardness(shore A): 0 degrees, or even negative degrees (such as 00-30 or 00-10)—the lower the degree, the softer the material. To create "squishies," you must select a gel of an ultra-soft grade; silicone with a hardness exceeding 5 degrees will be too rigid to be kneaded.
Key Considerations for Core Fabrication and Curing of squishy silicone:
Strict 1:1 Ratio: Components A and B must be weighed precisely using an electronic scale. An imbalance in the ratio will result in the silicone failing to cure or leaving a tacky surface finish.
Beware of "Silicone Poisoning": Addition-cure silicones are susceptible to "poisoning" (inhibition) when exposed to sulfur, natural rubber, or chemicals containing nitrogen, phosphorus, or tin; this will permanently prevent the silicone from curing. It is strictly forbidden to wear natural rubber (latex) gloves during preparation; please ensure you use PVC or Nitrile gloves instead.
Environmental Temperature and Humidity Control: The optimal curing temperature is approximately 20°C to 25°C. Environmental humidity exceeding 70% will significantly prolong the curing time. To accelerate curing, a heating pad may be used; however, do not exceed 60°C, as doing so will generate excessive air bubbles.
Coloring and Additives: Use only specialized silicone color pigments for tinting. Adding an excessive amount of color pigment or glitter may slightly delay the curing process.
