- Shaping using V-cut or routing processes to prevent fiberglass burrs
- V-cut depth precisely controlled with remaining thickness typically 1/3 of board thickness
- New routing bits used to avoid burrs and copper slag residue
- Drilling process uses coated drill bits to reduce hole wall burrs
- Desmearing treatment after drilling
- Micro-etching roughening required before lead-free HASL
- Board baking at 120°C for 1 hour to remove moisture
- Cooling and flattening after HASL with warpage inspection (≤0.75%)
- Flying probe testing for 100% electrical testing
