The excavator swing reducer, known as the swing gearbox in construction machinery, is a vital transmission unit joining the slewing motor to the large slewing gear ring. Its key functions are decelerating rotation and amplifying torque, enabling steady full‑circle slewing of the upper superstructure assembly.
Main Component Framework
Sun Gear: Mated with the slewing motor spline section for high‑speed power reception.
Planet Gears: Each stage includes 3 to 4 gears that revolve around and self‑rotate on the sun gear for torque delivery.
Ring Gear: Permanently secured to the housing and engages with planetary gear sets.
