Widely recognized as the swing gearbox in construction machinery sectors, the excavator swing reducer serves as an indispensable transmission unit linking the slewing drive motor and large slewing gear ring. It performs speed reduction and torque boosting to achieve seamless all‑round rotation of the upper superstructure.
Key Component Composition
Sun Gear: Coupled with the slewing motor’s spline teeth to receive high‑speed power input.
Planet Gears: Three to four gears per stage revolve circumferentially around the sun gear while self‑rotating to deliver torque.
Ring Gear: Fixed to the reducer housing and engages with planetary gear assemblies.
Planet Carrier: Provides power output to actuate the bottom small driving gear.
Brake: Built‑in wet multi‑disc brake system with spring‑applied locking and hydraulic release to prevent reverse movement.
