Main Functions
Our hydraulic main pump is the power source for excavator hydraulic system. Connected with engine, it transfers mechanical energy into high-pressure hydraulic oil to power boom, arm, bucket, travel and swing assemblies.
Available Types
Almost all construction excavators install axial variable piston pumps. Medium and large excavator models adopt integrated double main pump with pilot gear pump installed on rear end.
Two separated pump chambers of main pump deliver oil separately at 28~35MPa to realize multi-action operation; rear pilot pump runs at 3~4MPa to offer control oil for operating levers and main valve spools.

Internal Build
Inside cylinder block, multiple pistons suck and compress oil with spindle rotation. Swash plate angle controls piston travel and pump displacement. External regulator adjusts swash plate angle by hydraulic signal to control flow volume and fuel consumption. Valve plate divides low-pressure inlet and high-pressure outlet for smooth oil distribution.
Core Control Features
Constant power function cuts pump displacement under heavy loads to prevent engine shutdown; LS load sensing only produces required flow to save fuel during idle status; pressure cut-off limits pump displacement at peak pressure to protect pipes and hydraulic cylinders.
Regular Troubleshooting
Worn inner parts or blocked regulator make machine slow and weak; fixed large displacement leads to engine overload, black smoke; serious inner leakage results in overheating hydraulic oil; air intake or insufficient oil creates abnormal pump noise.
Daily Care
Replace hydraulic oil and filters regularly, check suction pipeline air tightness and keep correct oil level to protect pump core components.
