Core Function
Engine-driven hydraulic main pump converts mechanical power into high-pressure hydraulic energy to drive boom, arm, bucket, travel and swing movements of excavators.
Pump Style
Axial variable piston pump is standard, tandem dual pump for mid & large excavators with rear integrated pilot pump: main pump 28~35MPa, pilot pump 3~4MPa for pilot control.
Internal Layout
Rotatable piston-cylinder unit, adjustable swash plate, flow regulator and distribution valve plate compose full pump assembly; regulator changes swash angle to adjust pump flow and fuel cost.
Three Advanced Controls
Constant power avoids engine stall under overload; LS energy-saving control outputs flow as needed; pressure cut-off protects hydraulic parts at ultimate pressure.
Usual Breakdowns
Internal leakage or stuck regulator leads to weak action; fixed large displacement causes engine overload and black smoke; heavy leakage raises oil temperature; air suction creates unusual pump noise.
