Function
Engine drives excavator main hydraulic pump to create high-pressure oil, which drives boom, arm, bucket, travel and swing parts to finish all digging work.
Pump Type
Axial variable piston pump widely used, dual combined pump plus rear pilot pump for big & medium excavators: main pump 28~35MPa, pilot pump 3~4MPa for control handles.
Inner Structure
Pistons inside cylinder rotate to suck and press oil; adjustable swash plate changes pump flow; side regulator controls swash angle to adjust speed and fuel cost; valve plate separates oil inlet and high-pressure outlet.
Three Protection & Energy-saving Controls
Constant power prevents engine stop under heavy load; LS saves fuel by supplying needed oil only; pressure cutoff protects pipes when pressure is too high.
Common Problems
Leaking inner parts or stuck regulator makes machine slow; fixed big flow causes engine black smoke; serious leakage leads to hot oil; air inside pipes makes pump noisy.
Daily Care
Replace oil and filters regularly, avoid air into suction pipe and keep enough hydraulic oil.
