Serving as the hydraulic power core of excavators, the engine-driven main pump converts mechanical energy into high-pressure hydraulic oil to drive all boom, arm, bucket, traveling and slewing functions. It adopts standard axial variable piston design, while medium and large excavators use integrated dual main pumps with rear pilot pumps. The main circuit working pressure ranges from 28 to 35MPa, and the pilot control circuit maintains 3 to 4MPa. The pump unit is composed of piston cylinder assembly, adjustable swash plate, external regulator and distribution valve plate, which adjust displacement, flow rate and fuel consumption dynamically. With constant power, load sensing and pressure cut-off functions, the equipment prevents engine stall under heavy loads, realizes energy-saving on-demand oil supply, and protects hydraulic parts under extreme pressure. Common operating faults include weak digging performance, engine smoking, oil overheating and abnormal pump noise, which can be avoided through standardized oil replacement, pipeline sealing and correct oil level maintenance.
