Function
Serving as the core power source for excavator hydraulic systems, our hydraulic main pump is driven by the engine. It converts mechanical power into high-pressure hydraulic power, and delivers pressurized fluid to hydraulic motors to power all working functions including lifting, digging, traveling and slewing.
Type
Axial variable piston pumps are widely equipped on engineering excavators. Medium and large size excavators adopt integrated dual main pumps matched with a rear pilot gear pump.
Dual independent high-pressure oil lines supply the main control valve to enable smooth composite actions, with standard working pressure of 28~35MPa.
The low-pressure pilot pump at the pump tail operates at 3~4MPa with low flow, providing reliable control pressure for operating levers and valve spools.

Internal Parts
Precision piston assemblies rotate synchronously with the main shaft inside the cylinder block and housing to complete oil suction and pressurization.
The adjustable swash plate changes its tilt angle to regulate piston stroke and overall pump displacement.
Controlled by hydraulic feedback, the external servo regulator adjusts the swash plate flexibly. Higher tilt angle increases flow and working efficiency; lower tilt angle saves fuel and secures normal engine operation.

Common Failures
Internal leakage caused by component wear or regulator clogging will slow down machine operation and reduce output power.
