I. Wilson Generator Set Maintenance Cycle (FG WILSON General)

1) Daily/每次 startup (standby unit once per week)

• Check the oil level, coolant level, and diesel level.

• Check for leaks (oil/water/fuel).

• Check the belt tension and wear

• Clean the exterior of the air filter housing

• Check the battery terminals and electrolyte.

2) 500 hours (minor maintenance)

• Change the engine oil and filter

• Replace the diesel filter element

• Check/clean the air filter element

• Check the belt and tension wheel

• Check the cooling system and the cleanliness of the radiator.

3) 1000 hours (medium maintenance)

• Including all items for 500 hours

• Replace the air filter element

• Replace the fuel coarse filter/water separator

• Check the operating conditions of the injector and high-pressure oil pump.

• Check the valve clearance and pulley

• Battery maintenance (charging/level check)

4) 2000 hours/12 months (Major Overhaul)

• Including all items for 1000 hours

• Change the coolant (long-lasting antifreeze and rust preventive fluid)

• Replace the belt + tension wheel

• Check the injector and oil pump

• Check the turbocharger (if equipped with a supercharger).

• Generator bearing inspection/lubrication

• Control Module, Sensor Calibration

5) 4000–8000 hours (Major overhaul)

• Replacement of cylinder liner, piston, and piston rings

• Main shaft bearing, connecting rod bearing

• Valve, valve seat, conduit

• Crankshaft oil seal, vehicle-wide seals

• Major generator overhaul (bearings, insulation, rectifier)

II. Common Faults and Maintenance Key Points (FG WILSON)

1) Difficult to start/Cannot start

• Battery low: Charge or replace (12V/24V)

• Fuel intake air: Exhaust air; inspect fuel lines/joints

• Chassis filter clogging: Replace the chassis filter

• Injector atomization deficiency: Calibrate or replace

• Improper valve clearance: readjustment

2) Weak performance and heavy black smoke emission

• Air filter clogged: Replace the air filter

• Injector malfunction: Calibration

• Turbocompressor issue (for turbocharged models)

• Poor valve sealing and insufficient cylinder pressure

3) High water temperature/overheating

• Water tank blockage and scale: Clean

• The thermostat does not open: Replace the thermostat.

• Fan belt slipping: Adjust tension or replace the belt

• Insufficient or degraded coolant: Add/Replace

4) Low engine oil pressure, alarm

• Insufficient oil: Add oil to the standard level

• Machine filter clogging: Replace

• Oil pump wear: Repair/replace
