2. Function & Application
It connects crankshaft and connecting rod, transmits power and reduces operating friction. Commonly used in CHP, natural gas and biogas power generation units. It shall be replaced during major overhaul every 8000–10000 operating hours.
3. Installation & Maintenance
- Fitting Clearance: 0.17–0.24 mm
- Installation: Mount the oil groove side towards crank pin, align locating tabs to prevent displacement
- Common Faults: Alloy layer peeling, bearing seizure and abnormal wear. Check roundness and surface condition of rod journal during replacement
- Lubrication: Adopt original MWM SAE 40 engine oil for gas engines. Operating oil pressure: 4–6 bar
