2. Functions & Features
It controls the intake stroke of the cylinder. When opened, it draws in air-fuel mixture or fresh air; when closed, it seals the combustion chamber.
The valve can withstand long-term high temperature, high pressure and reciprocating impact loads, suitable for continuous operation of the unit.
3. Common Failures & Replacement
- Common issues: Valve head wear, ablation, carbon deposit, valve stem scoring and poor sealing, which will lead to power reduction, abnormal exhaust and increased fuel consumption.
- Replacement Interval: Inspect and replace during major overhaul every 8000–10000 operating hours under normal operation.
4. Installation Instructions
- Thoroughly clean carbon deposits and dirt on valves, valve seats and guides before installation.
- Check valve clearance. Standard intake valve clearance: 0.30–0.35 mm.
- Ensure full seating of the valve without air leakage.
- Apply special lubricant during assembly to prevent valve stem sticking.
