N08825 Incoloy 825 Nickel Alloy Shaft
- Incoloy 825 solid & hollow shaft, UNS N08825 / 2.4858, manufactured per ASTM B425 bar standard
- Ni-Fe-Cr-Mo-Cu-Ti solid solution alloy, cannot be hardened via quenching or aging heat treatment
- High nickel matrix delivers outstanding chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance
- Molybdenum + copper composite formula resists sulfuric, phosphoric mixed reducing acids
- Titanium stabilized design eliminates intergranular corrosion after welding & long thermal cycles
- Stable mechanical performance from cryogenic up to 540°C continuous service temperature
- Dual stock forms: solid round shaft & seamless hollow shaft to cut deep boring machining cost
- Custom OD, ID, wall thickness, length & full CNC turning, boring, threading per CAD drawings
- Core rotary blank for chemical pickling, FGD desulfurization, offshore seawater & oilfield equipment
This series of Incoloy 825 solid and hollow shafts are produced by hot rolling + seamless piercing cold drawing forming, then full solution stabilization annealing for uniform single-phase austenite microstructure. As a solid solution nickel alloy, its strength cannot be boosted by aging or quenching; the soft annealed state is standard delivery for easy all-range CNC machining.
Incoloy 825 integrates chromium, molybdenum and copper elements to balance oxidation & reducing acid corrosion resistance, while titanium stabilizes grain boundaries to avoid weld sensitization. Different from precipitation hardening nickel alloys (718/925), it features long-term stability in mixed acid flue gas desulfurization and seawater brine environments, with more competitive cost than high-grade nickel superalloys. Solid shaft for solid rotary spindles; seamless hollow shaft eliminates heavy solid bar deep boring work, widely processed into agitator rods, heat exchanger spindles, seawater pump shafts and pickling equipment tubular blanks for chemical, offshore marine, power plant FGD and petroleum industries.
- Nickel-iron-chromium base alloy with molybdenum, copper and titanium additive elements
- High nickel content completely avoids chloride SCC failure in warm salt water medium
- Mo+Cu dual system provides exceptional tolerance to sulfuric & phosphoric reducing acids
- Titanium binds free carbon to block chromium carbide precipitation, no post-weld annealing required
- Excellent ductility & impact toughness at both cryogenic and medium high temperature
- Compatible with all conventional welding methods without hot cracking risk
- Stabilized annealed soft state supports turning, boring, threading and complex CNC forming

Chromium resists oxidizing media; Mo-Cu complex additive delivers stable service in sulfuric, phosphoric reducing acid environments, unmatched by standard stainless steel.
High nickel content eliminates stress corrosion cracking in hot brine & seawater, ideal offshore and desalination rotary parts.
Ti element fixes free carbon, no chromium carbide precipitation after welding or repeated heating; post-weld heat treatment is unnecessary.
Retain high ductility from ultra-low cryogenic to 540℃ medium high-temperature working conditions without brittle transition.
Seamless hollow shaft reduces solid bar deep boring cost, shortens processing cycle for tubular spindle production.
