BSL3 Special
Consolidated BSL-3 Series Sterilizers are designed to sterilize at temperatures between
220°F and 275°F (104°C and 135°C) through the use of steam.
The BSL-3 Series meet the tough requirement of biocontainment facilities and are typically
installed in Biosafety Level 3 rated laboratories located within any life science, biotechnology,
or animal research (vivarium) facility.

Pass-through Door Interlock System
- For pass-thru models only.
- Prevents opening of the sterilizer door on the non-contained side until completion of a
- sterilization cycle.
- Also prevents both doors from being opened simultaneously.
- This system is programmed to accommodate the desired direction of product flow.
Effluent Decontamination System
- Consolidated Sterilizer Systems was one of the first companies to investigate and discover the potential hazards of contaminated sterilizer effluent.
- For labs working with BSL3 micro organisms all waste and effluent must be rendered sterile.
- Sterilization of bacteria and pathogens is accomplished through the use of an FDA approved, ultra high-efficiency filter.
Innovative Automatic Safety Door Lock
- Easy and safe. When the autoclave lid is closed, the lid is automatically locked by a circumferential ring system.
- A special lip seal made of heat resistant silicone provides eliable sealing. As steam pressure builds within the sterilizer, the seal becomes tighter.
- The lid also opens easily –either at the push of a button or automatically at the end of a sterilization cycle.
