Select NBR, HNBR or FKM using the fluid, temperature, pressure, movement and required hardness. Specify compound identification and acceptance criteria for the intended duty.
Mark sealing faces, parting-line restrictions and permissible flash. Define dimensions that control assembly and sealing compression.
For bonded components, specify insert material, bonding surfaces and required retention tests separately.Approve samples against dimensions, hardness and agreed functional tests before production. Identify the drawing and material revision on the inspection and packing requirements for repeat orders.
