Rubber O Ring

NBR and FKM rubber O-rings are offered for industrial oil-service enquiries in standard or custom sizes. Specify the exact compound, size and hardness for the intended assembly. Material names describe families of compounds rather than a single universal performance specification.

Provide the required inside diameter and cross-section, or an identified standard size and drawing. Confirm custom size availability and dimensional tolerances with the enquiry.
Material enquiry options include FKM, NBR, EPDM and silicone; availability and suitability depend on the selected compound and size. 

NBR and FKM O-Rings: Oil-Service Compound and Size Selection

For an oil-service replacement, provide the actual oil or fluid specification, additives and operating temperature with the pressure and seal motion. Review NBR or FKM at the compound level for those conditions.

Specify the AS568 dash number or the inside diameter and cross-section with units and tolerances. A size designation does not establish the material or hardness, so keep these requirements together on each order line.

For sample approval, identify the groove drawing and agree the dimensional and hardness checks. List different compounds separately even when their nominal dimensions match.
