Hammer Union seals:

Hammer union seals are used in the connections between flexible hoses or pipes used in the oil drilling industry. The seal provides a critical fluid tight connection within the union hardware.
Hammer unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal. The seal is lipped to prevent it from falling out when inverted.
Some profiles such as Fig 2202, Fig 1004, Fig 1502, Fig 2002, Fig 602, Fig 1002 etc require a Hammer Union Lip Seal or an 'O'Ring depending on the Size of the Hammer Union.
We produce 1" ,1.5",2",3",4" ,6" and 7"Hammer Union Seals in NBR, FKM or HNBR compounds selected for the specified fluid and service requirements. In addition to the standard molded rubber seals, we offer these with either a brass or stainless steel anti-extrusion ring.

Maintenance orders for 2, 3 and 4 inch backed union seals

For maintenance replenishment, list each 2, 3 or 4 inch nominal union size with its manufacturer, figure and approved seal drawing. Confirm NBR or HNBR compound and whether brass or stainless steel anti-extrusion backing is required. Similar-looking seals can differ in profile and backing dimensions, so keep each part reference separate. Provide fluid composition, temperature and pressure for service review. Confirm availability and delivery against the specified part and quantity when requesting a quotation. The wider catalogue sizes below do not establish stock availability or interchangeability.
