TA Type Swab Cups — Heat-Duty Compound and Tubing Fit Selection
TA replacement cups are selected for the actual tubing bore, mandrel, fluid and lifting duty. Heat-service suitability requires the selected compound and temperature exposure to be defined.
Royal Way supplies swab-cup replacements matched to the specified profile and drawing. Select a nitrile or application-specific compound against actual fluid formulation and operating temperature. The related V and MV sections below describe separate profiles and do not establish TA interchangeability.

V type
We carries the V Series Swab Cup in a light duty and heavy duty all rubber cup that is suited for use in fluids with high concentrations of suspended sand. The upturned lips pass easily through tight spots and will invert to dump excessive loads. The number of cups used will vary with conditions.
TA type
TA is a medium load Swab Cup built around a steel or aluminum bushing for use in most sizes of tubing or drill pipe. When under load, it will compress to form a solid rubber mass for lifting action according to the approved profile and operating duty. Manufactured from a newly developed rubber compound, these cups provide our customers with a drawing-matched replacement product. Our special Frac Fluid compound is developed for a specified fluid formulation and operating duty. Confirm the exact compound against the fluid, temperature and maintenance criteria.
MV type
We offers the popular Guiberson* profile MV Swab Cup in both nitrile and frac fluid rubber compound. The cup has either an aluminum or steel bushing with multiple upturned lips with profile and load suitability confirmed against actual tubing bore, mandrel and fluid conditions. Suspended sand and restrictions affect wear and movement.

TA Heat-Service Orders: Record Temperature Exposure and Actual Tubing Bore
