The nominal 2-inch FKM seal ring is specified as a replacement component for an identified Figure 607 Guiberson hammer union. For spare-parts procurement, provide the equipment part number, union manufacturer and a drawing or sample of the existing ring. Record the inside diameter, outside diameter, overall height and lip section so the replacement can be matched to the actual sealing recess.
Specify the FKM compound grade and Shore A hardness separately from colour, along with the fluid composition and normal and peak temperatures. Confirm the required backing arrangement against the assembly drawing. For a 6,000 psi operating requirement, verify the complete union rating and applicable service and test conditions; the rubber ring has no independent assembly rating. Sour-gas and H2S use requires specific compound qualification.
