A pipe wiper is a cleaning component and should not be treated as a pressure-control seal. Inspect for cuts, tears and worn contact edges, and replace according to the operating procedure. ISO 9001 quality management supports specification review and inspection.

Rubber pipe wipers remove adhering mud and debris as pipe is withdrawn. Select the compound for the actual water-based or oil-based mud and review cut, tear and abrasion requirements. NBR, NR, HNBR and FKM are separate material choices; suitability depends on the grade and exposure.
