2, 3 and 4 Inch Union Seals: FIG 602, 1002 and 1502 Matching

Hammer union seals are used in the connections between flexible hoses or pipes used in the oil drilling industry. The seal provides a critical fluid tight connection within the union hardware.

Hammer unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal. Lip and retention geometry depend on the exact union design; confirm the part drawing.
Some profiles such as Fig 2202, Fig 1004, Fig 1502, Fig 2002, Fig 602, Fig 1002 etc require a Hammer Union Lip Seal or an 'O'Ring depending on the Size of the Hammer Union.

Build a Figure-and-Size Replacement List

For a mixed order, list each FIG 602, FIG 1002 or FIG 1502 connection separately with nominal size, seal part reference and quantity. Do not assume that every listed figure uses the same seal in a given size. Confirm the lip or O-ring profile and any back-up ring against the actual union drawing.

The 2, 3 and 4 inch references describe nominal connections, not seal inner or outer diameters. Include the approved material compound and construction with each item, and use the complete assembly documentation for pressure and temperature requirements.
