Confirm whether the required part is a solid PTFE ring, a filled PTFE ring or a fluoropolymer-encapsulated elastomer ring. These constructions have different fit and installation requirements.

Solid PTFE has low elasticity and can deform under sustained load. Do not assume it can stretch into the same groove or replace an elastomer O-ring directly. Confirm installation and dimensional acceptance with the equipment drawing; pressure and temperature capability belong to the specified sealing arrangement.
Product Description
PTFE O-rings are circular-section thermoplastic sealing rings. PTFE is not rubber and has limited elastic recovery, so the groove, assembly method and service conditions need a PTFE-specific design review.
