Custom rubber O-rings are specified by compound, inside diameter, cross-section and Shore A hardness. This listing focuses on NBR and EPDM custom enquiries. The required hardness must be selected for the actual groove and service conditions; the 20–90 Shore A range in the original listing does not mean every material or size is available at every hardness.
 
Use the actual fluid and operating conditions to select NBR, EPDM or an alternative compound. Hardness alone does not establish pressure capability, temperature limits or chemical compatibility. Confirm the groove dimensions, seal motion and required dimensional tolerances before approving a custom part.

Custom NBR and EPDM O-Rings: Hardness and Drawing Requirements

State the required Shore A hardness and its acceptance tolerance on the enquiry. If you are replacing an existing seal, provide its material specification and drawing rather than selecting a compound from color alone.

Submit the inside diameter, cross-section, groove dimensions and quantity for each size. Identify whether the seal is static or moving, and provide the fluid, operating temperature and pressure for compound and fit review.

For sample approval, agree the dimensional checks, hardness requirement and packaging identification before production. Keep NBR and EPDM parts identified separately when ordering matching dimensions in different compounds.
