Custom Rubber Parts: Turn the Drawing into an Approved Part Specification
Each custom part needs its own dimensional and material specification. NBR, HNBR, FKM, EPDM and silicone are material families, not interchangeable grades. PTFE parts require a separate specification because PTFE is not rubber.

Custom enquiries can include size, shape, colour, compound and packaging requirements. Send a dimensioned drawing or sample, identify sealing surfaces and critical tolerances, and agree the sample acceptance criteria before production. FKM is commonly considered for petroleum oil and fuel exposure; verify the exact fluid and grade. Chemical compatibility depends on concentration, temperature and the FKM formulation. Review ozone, weathering and ageing requirements for the selected compound. H2S, amines, hot water and steam require specific compound assessment; a generic FKM designation does not establish suitability. Confirm low-temperature flexibility for the actual FKM grade. |
