Replacement Hammer Union Seals for High-Pressure Pipe Fittings
Product Overview
Our high-performance Hammer Union Seals (also known as Lip Seals) are engineered to provide reliable, leak-proof connections in the most demanding oilfield applications. Designed for high-pressure flowline environments, these seals ensure structural integrity during fracking, cementing, acidizing, and testing operations.
As a specialized manufacturer in oil and gas rubber sealing, we offer precision-molded seals that are fully compatible with industry-standard Figure 602, 1002, 1502, 2002, and 2202 pipe fittings. Our seals are built to withstand extreme pressures, abrasive fluids, and harsh chemical environments, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

Key Features & Advantages
-
Precision Geometry: Our lip-style design ensures an energizing seal under low pressure while maintaining structural stability under high-pressure spikes.
-
Anti-Extrusion Design: Available with integrated brass or stainless steel backup rings to prevent seal migration and extrusion in high-pressure "Fig 1502" or "Fig 2002" unions.
-
Chemical Compatibility: Resistant to heavy brines, CO2, H2S, and various fracking fluids.
-
Interchangeability: Manufactured to strict tolerance standards, ensuring a perfect fit with standard hammer union male and female subs from various global manufacturers.
-
Durable Sealing Surface: Optimized hardness (Durometer 80-95 Shore A) to balance flexibility and pressure resistance.
Application Environments
Our Hammer Union Seals are the preferred choice for:
-
Hydraulic Fracturing (Fracking): Handling high-velocity proppant and chemicals.
-
Well Testing: Reliable performance during pressure variations.
-
Acidizing & Cementing: Resisting corrosive media and abrasive slurries.
-
Manifold Systems: Ensuring leak-free connections in high-pressure distribution lines.

FAQ: Critical Selection Guide & Troubleshooting
1. How do I choose between NBR and HNBR for my hammer union?
While NBR is suitable for standard water and oil service, HNBR is highly recommended if your application involves higher temperatures (above 100°C) or exposure to H2S (Sour Gas). HNBR offers significantly better tensile strength and tear resistance, making it more durable for frequent makeup and breakout of unions.
2. Why do my seals fail prematurely through "extrusion"?
Extrusion usually occurs when the pressure exceeds the material’s limit or when the gap between the union subs is too wide. For high-pressure applications (10,000 PSI+), we recommend seals with a Stainless Steel or Brass Anti-Extrusion Ring. This metal reinforcement keeps the rubber in place under extreme stress.
3. Are your seals compatible with H2S (Sour Gas) service?
Yes. For Sour Gas environments, we provide specific FKM or HNBR compounds that meet NACE MR0175 standards. These materials are formulated to resist chemical degradation caused by hydrogen sulfide.
4. What is the shelf life of these rubber seals?
In proper storage conditions (cool, dry, away from direct sunlight and ozone), NBR seals typically have a shelf life of 5–7 years, while FKM can last over 10 years. We recommend rotating stock and checking for brittleness before installation.
5. Can I use your seals in cold weather environments?
Standard NBR may become brittle in extreme cold. For Arctic or sub-zero operations, we offer Low-Temperature NBR/HNBR variants that maintain elasticity down to -45°C or lower.
6. Do you support custom sizing or OEM branding?
Absolutely. As a direct manufacturer, we can produce seals based on your specific drawings or samples. We also offer private labeling and custom packaging for distributors.
