Product Description

High-Pressure Hammer Union Gaskets and Seals - Factory Direct

Product Overview

Our high-pressure hammer union gaskets and seals are engineered for maximum reliability in the most demanding oilfield and industrial pipeline environments. As a factory-direct provider, we offer precision-molded sealing solutions designed to fit standard hammer union connections, ensuring a leak-proof seal during high-pressure fluid transfer. These seals, often referred to as lip seals, are essential for maintaining the integrity of flowlines, manifolds, and wellhead equipment.

Material Selection and Temperature Ranges

We provide a variety of elastomer compounds to match your specific chemical and thermal requirements. Choosing the correct material ensures the longevity of the seal and prevents costly downtime.

  1. NBR (Nitrile Rubber)
Best for: General purpose water, oil, and hydraulic fluid service.
    Temperature Range: -30 degrees Celsius to +100 degrees Celsius (-22 F to +212 F).
Characteristics: High abrasion resistance and excellent sealing properties for standard operations.

  2. HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile)
Best for: Sour gas (H2S) environments, crude oil, and modern drilling muds.
    Temperature Range: -40 degrees Celsius to +150 degrees Celsius (-40 F to +302 F).
Characteristics: Superior mechanical strength and enhanced thermal stability compared to standard NBR.

  3. FKM (Fluorocarbon)
Best for: High-temperature applications and exposure to aggressive chemicals or acids.
    Temperature Range: -20 degrees Celsius to +200 degrees Celsius (-4 F to +392 F).
Characteristics: Exceptional resistance to heat and a wide range of industrial chemicals.

  4. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
Best for: Specialized chemical compatibility and extreme temperature scenarios.
Temperature Range: -200 degrees Celsius to +250 degrees Celsius.
Characteristics: Virtually inert to all industrial chemicals with very low friction.

Working Pressure and Figure Compatibility

Our hammer union seals are designed to meet the pressure requirements of standard industry figure numbers. Each seal is molded to ensure a tight fit within the union's seal groove.

  • Figure 602 Seals: Rated for up to 6,000 PSI.

  • Figure 1002 Seals: Rated for up to 10,000 PSI.

  • Figure 1502 Seals: Rated for up to 15,000 PSI.

  • Figure 2202 Seals: Rated for up to 20,000 PSI in specialized H2S service.

Key Features

  • Precision Lip Design: The lip geometry is optimized to utilize internal pressure to enhance the sealing force against the union wall.

  • Anti-Extrusion Rings: High-pressure versions (such as Fig 1502) are available with integrated brass or stainless steel reinforcement rings to prevent the seal from extruding under extreme flow conditions.

  • Factory Direct Quality: Every seal undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection and material batch testing to ensure consistent performance.

  • Universal Interchangeability: Our gaskets are designed to be compatible with all standard figure hammer unions across the globe.

Application Scope

These seals are utilized across a broad spectrum of heavy-duty industries:

  • Hydraulic Fracturing (Fracking): Maintaining seals during high-pressure sand and fluid pumping.

  • Well Cementing and Acidizing: Resisting corrosive stimulation fluids.

  • Oil and Gas Drilling: Essential for mud pumps, standpipes, and flowline connections.

  • Mining and Industrial: High-pressure slurry transfer and large-scale water management.

  • Marine and Offshore: Durable sealing for subsea and topside pipeline connections.

Technical Parameters

  • Available Sizes: 1 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch.

  • Hardness: Standard 80 to 90 Shore A.

  • Media Compatibility: Oil, gas, water, drilling mud, acids, and solvents.

  • Reinforcement: Optional brass or stainless steel rings for anti-washout protection.
