Product Description

Replacement Hammer Union Seals for High-Pressure Manifolds

These specialized high pressure hammer union seals are engineered to provide a reliable leak proof barrier in heavy duty manifold systems and industrial pipeline connections. These replacement lip seals are designed to fit perfectly into the seal grooves of standard hammer unions used across the global oil and gas industry. These components are vital for maintaining the safety and efficiency of fluid transfer operations during high pressure tasks such as hydraulic fracturing and well stimulation.

The application scope for these seals is extensive covering high pressure flowlines manifolds wellheads and mud systems. They are particularly effective in environments where abrasive slurries or corrosive fluids are pumped at high velocities. These seals ensure that the connection remains secure even when subjected to intense mechanical vibrations and extreme pressure fluctuations.

Several material options are available to meet specific operational requirements. Nitrile rubber is the primary choice for standard water and oil service because it offers great abrasion resistance. HNBR(Hydrogenated nitrile) provides enhanced mechanical strength and is better suited for sour gas environments or higher temperature drilling muds. FKM(Fluorocarbon) is the ideal material for high temperature scenarios and exposure to aggressive chemicals or acids. PTFE(Polytetrafluoroethylene) is used for near universal chemical resistance and extreme temperature stability.

Working pressure ratings are determined by the specific figure number of the hammer union. Seals for figure six zero two are rated for pressures up to six thousand pounds per square inch. Figure ten zero two seals are designed for ten thousand pounds per square inch. For the most demanding high pressure applications figure fifteen zero two seals are rated for fifteen thousand pounds per square inch. Certain specialized figures can even handle pressures up to twenty thousand pounds per square inch in sour gas service.

Temperature ranges vary depending on the chosen elastomer. Nitrile rubber typically functions between negative thirty and one hundred degrees celsius. Hydrogenated nitrile offers a wider range from negative forty to one hundred and fifty degrees celsius. Fluorocarbon maintains its properties from negative twenty up to two hundred degrees celsius. These ranges ensure that the seals remain flexible and effective across diverse climates and operational conditions.

Key technical features include a pressure energized lip design where the internal fluid pressure helps to push the seal against the metal surface for a tighter bond. High pressure models are often equipped with anti extrusion rings made from brass or stainless steel which prevent the rubber from deforming or washing out under extreme flow rates. These seals are manufactured to be fully interchangeable with standard pipeline components ensuring easy replacement without the need for specialized tools.

When selecting the appropriate replacement seal it is important to identify the figure number and the nominal pipe size such as two inches or three inches. Choosing the correct material based on the chemical compatibility and temperature of the fluid will maximize the service life of the connection and reduce maintenance downtime. These factory direct sealing solutions offer a cost effective way to maintain high pressure manifolds without infringing on brand specific trademarks.
