Leak-Proof High-Pressure (15,000 PSI) Hammer Union Seal for Corrosion Resistant Oilfield Fracking Equipment
Oilfield Hammer Union Seals: Leak-Proof Fracking Equipment Seals
Product Overview
Our Oilfield Hammer Union Seals are high-performance sealing solutions designed to maintain leak-proof connections in high-pressure piping systems. Engineered specifically for the demanding conditions of hydraulic fracturing, cementing, and acidizing, these seals (also known as lip seals) ensure the integrity of flowlines and manifolds. By utilizing premium elastomer compounds, our seals prevent fluid loss and environmental contamination, even under extreme mechanical vibration and pressure surges.
Application Scope
These heavy-duty seals are essential for a wide range of oilfield and industrial applications, including:
Hydraulic Fracturing (Fracking): Sealing high-pressure pumping lines and manifolds. Well Stimulation: Handling abrasive proppants and chemical additives. Cementing & Acidizing: Connecting service lines for wellbore integrity. Drilling Mud Systems: Preventing leaks in mud pump suction and discharge lines. Standard Flowlines: Connecting pipes for oil, gas, and water transfer in onshore and offshore environments.
Material Comparison & Selection
Choosing the right material is critical for chemical compatibility and service life. We offer four primary grades:
NBR (Nitrile / Buna-N): Best For: General purpose water, oil, and mud service. Pros: Excellent abrasion resistance and cost-efficiency.
HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile): Best For: Modern drilling, crude oil exposure, and sour gas (H2S) environments. Pros: Enhanced mechanical strength and better thermal stability than NBR.
FKM (Fluorocarbon): Best For: High-temperature applications and aggressive chemical processing. Pros: Outstanding resistance to heat, acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
PTFE : Best For: Extreme chemical exposure or as backup rings to prevent seal extrusion.

Key Performance Features
-
Pressure-Energized Lip Design: The unique geometry uses internal fluid pressure to push the seal more tightly against the union wall, ensuring a zero-leak connection.
Anti-Extrusion Reinforcement: For high-pressure service (especially Fig 1502), our seals are available with integrated brass or stainless steel rings to prevent the elastomer from washing out or deforming. Chemical & Abrasive Resilience: Formulated to withstand the erosive nature of sand-laden fracking fluids and corrosive stimulation chemicals. Field-Proven Durability: Rigorous quality control ensures every seal meets the high-performance standards required for modern oilfield operations.
