HNBR and NBR Rubber Packer Cups for Oil and Gas Wells — Assembly Requirements

Features of the rubber oil packer cups:

1) Specify differential pressure and pressure direction for the complete tool.

2) Confirm tool model, component drawing and required inspection documents.

3) Match nominal 3.5, 4.5 or 5.5 inch references to actual casing or tubing internal diameter.

4) A 150°C (302°F) test condition requires documented compound and assembly qualification.

5) Agree test cycles, duration and acceptance criteria for the application.

6) Custom large-size configurations require drawing and tooling confirmation.

Replacement packer cups for oil and gas wells are selected by the approved tool assembly. Provide the cup part number, mandrel fit, lip orientation and actual casing or tubing internal diameter. Identify the intended pressure direction and any movement during operation before approving the replacement.

Wire-reinforced and all-rubber constructions require separate drawings. Specify wire frame, mesh or insert details where used; the configurations are not interchangeable solely because their nominal size matches.

Tubing and casing references from 1-1/4 inch through 7 inch require actual internal dimensions and casing weight. Confirm cup bore, lip outside diameter, height and tolerances for the selected tool. Custom profiles need drawing and sample-fit review.

The cup is a sealing component and does not establish drillability or multi-stage isolation performance on its own. For oil, gas or condensate exposure, specify fluid composition, operating temperature, differential pressure, cycling and decompression conditions. Review the exact compound and complete tool qualification before a material or construction change.
