HNBR and NBR Rubber Packer Components for Downhole Tool Replacement

Rubber packer components are selected by the downhole tool model and approved component drawing. Identify whether the replacement is a cup-shaped sealing element or a compression element; the component geometry and assembly requirements must be confirmed before ordering. Provide part numbers, mandrel dimensions and the actual casing or tubing internal diameter.

Wire-reinforced cups and unreinforced rubber cups are distinct constructions. Specify any wire frame, mesh or insert and confirm its dimensions from the approved drawing.

Nominal tubing and casing references from 1-1/4 inch through 7 inch require confirmation of actual internal diameter, casing weight and tool fit. Custom geometry is reviewed against the drawing or dimensioned sample.

Features of the rubber oil packer cups:

1) Specify differential pressure, temperature and pressure direction for the complete tool.

2) Confirm the sealing profile, bore, height and assembly tolerances.

3) Review nominal 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 inch references against the selected tool and casing dimensions.

4) A 150°C (302°F) test condition requires compound-specific and tool assembly documentation.

5) Specify cycles, hold times and acceptance criteria in the agreed test procedure.

6) Custom large sizes require tooling and drawing confirmation.

A replacement rubber component does not by itself establish drillability or multi-stage isolation performance. Match the element type and geometry to the complete tool design. Specify fluid composition, operating temperature, pressure cycling and any gas decompression requirements when selecting the exact compound. Confirm sample fit and required assembly testing before substitution.
