This nitrile hammer union seal listing focuses on specifying the required rubber hardness with the compound and seal profile. The original 80/90 durometer designation should be confirmed as a specific Shore A requirement for the selected part; it is not a pressure rating or a guarantee of interchangeability.

Buna/NBR seals, FKM and HNBR compounds, brass-backed and stainless-backed configurations are separate options. PTFE components require a separate design review. Confirm the exact union manufacturer, figure number, nominal connection size and seal part number or drawing before selecting the ring.
Include the compound specification, required Shore A hardness, fluid and operating temperatures in the enquiry. A harder compound is not automatically suitable for every groove or service condition; review the complete seal and backing arrangement against the equipment requirements.

Hammer unions use mating ends and a hammer nut to assemble the connection. The appropriate lip seal or O-ring depends on the hardware design. Inspect the groove and sealing surfaces using the equipment service procedure; seal replacement does not correct damaged union hardware.
