The catalogue includes Figure 1502, 602, 1002, 2002, and 2202 union references; confirm the manufacturer, size and seal seat before ordering. Working and test pressure limits require evidence for the exact complete union assembly. Available in Nitrile (NBR) for standard service, HNBR/FKM for specified compound requirements; sour-service suitability requires qualification of the exact formulation and assembly, and PTFE for specialized environments, backing options include brass or stainless steel where required by the approved seal configuration. NBR Figure 1502 Hammer Union Seals: Assembly Rating and Back-Up Selection
This listing references an NBR Figure 1502 seal. Provide the union manufacturer, nominal size and original seal number to confirm the rubber profile. Figure 1502 identifies a connection configuration; it is not sufficient by itself to assign a working or test pressure to a loose seal.
Match the outside diameter, inside diameter, height and lip geometry to the seal seat. Confirm whether the approved part is all rubber or includes a brass or stainless steel back-up. A backing change should be checked against the drawing and assembly requirements.
Include the fluid, temperature and any special service conditions when requesting the NBR compound. Alternative HNBR, FKM or PTFE configurations require separate confirmation of dimensions and duty.
