NBR Rubber Other Oil Well Accessories / Cable Gland Protective Shrouds
NBR Rubber Cable Gland Shrouds and Protective Sleeves
Send the cable gland dimensions, cable outer diameter and exposure conditions for a matching protective shroud.
Application
Application: external coverage of a matching cable gland body. Specify oil or condensate splash, cleaning fluids and temperature conditions for compound review. The shroud does not establish the gland assembly sealing or hazardous-area qualification.
Product Description
NBR rubber cable gland shroud selection:
1) A push-on shroud covers the matching gland body to help limit dirt accumulation; fit and coverage depend on the approved geometry.
2) This rubber item specifies NBR. PVC and HNBR alternatives require their own material and fit review; they must not be assumed interchangeable.
| Material of this rubber cable shrouds | NBR (nitrile -butadiene rubber) |
| Size | 1 to 30 mm reference range; identify whether the dimension refers to cable diameter or a sleeve feature on the drawing. |
| Brand | SHQN |
| Color | Black |
| Custom service | Custom drawing and sample review; dimensions and material by approved order. |

Our company
Shanghai Qinuo Industry Co. Ltd
supplies molded rubber components and protective sleeves. Select the cable gland shroud against the actual gland profile and cable dimensions.
Provide gland body diameter, hex or shoulder dimensions, sleeve length and cable exit opening. Agree fit, installation clearance and coverage on the drawing.
Specify NBR compound, hardness and tolerances with exposure conditions. Review sample fit and any requested fluid or temperature checks before production.
ISO 9001 applies to quality management. Electrical, ingress and hazardous-area performance require qualification of the applicable assembly; a rubber shroud description alone does not establish those ratings.

FAQ
1. What dimensions are needed for a shroud?
Provide cable outer diameter and the complete gland body profile, including shoulders, hex features and required coverage length.
Identify the meaning of the 1 to 30 mm reference and state tolerances for the sleeve opening and fitted body dimensions.
2. What should the material inquiry include?
a. NBR compound and required hardness.
b. Normal and peak exposure temperatures.
c. Oil, condensate or cleaning fluid formulation.
d. Splash, immersion or intermittent contact conditions.
e. Outdoor sunlight or ozone exposure where applicable.
f. Color and required installation flexibility.
g. Agreed material checks and acceptance criteria.
3. Does the shroud establish a gland sealing rating?
1. External coverage is distinct from the gland sealing function.
2. Verify the actual gland assembly specification.
3. Define any additional ingress requirement separately.
4. Confirm applicable electrical or hazardous-area documentation where required.
5. Do not infer assembly qualification from NBR material alone.
4. What should sample fit checks cover?
1. Matching gland and cable dimensions.
2. Installation clearance and seating position.
3. Body coverage and cable exit fit.
4. Visible tears, distortion or interference.
5. Agreed exposure checks for the selected compound.
Other molded rubber products require separate drawings and material specifications.
Send the gland drawing or identifiable sample for sleeve fit review.
Include cable diameter, exposure conditions, compound requirements and quantity in your inquiry.
