Compression Molding:
Pressure and heat is applied to a material inside a mold cavity until it cures. This method can produce products that are curved or intricate, and is usually less expensive than other molding processes.
Silicone Bottle and Tube Stoppers: Taper and Hole Configuration
Select a stopper by the measured opening and required insertion depth. For a tapered design, provide top diameter, bottom diameter and overall height, or send a drawing or sample of the required plug. A shared bottle capacity does not establish the opening dimensions.
Specify a solid plug, one hole or two holes as required. For drilled versions, include hole diameter, spacing and the dimensions of any tube or probe passing through the stopper. Confirm the intended contact and retention arrangement with the finished dimensions.
Include the liquid or chemical exposure, cleaning method and temperature when requesting silicone or another rubber option. Laboratory, brewing or food-contact use requires the appropriate compound and application-specific documentation. Confirm the required grade and hardness before ordering.
