A chair-leg cap needs a cavity that matches the leg end and enough engagement to remain seated. A solid stopper has no such cavity. Identify the required construction and provide the mating leg shape before selecting dimensions.
Review floor-contact area, base thickness, loading and movement using a fitted sample. Surface marking and sliding behavior should be checked on the actual flooring and silicone compound rather than assumed from appearance.
