Custom Injection-Molded Plastic Protectors for Casing Connections
Custom injection-molded plastic protectors cover matching casing threads during transport and storage. Define the casing connection, pin or box end and required coverage on the drawing. Select HDPE or ABS as the approved polymer grade for the item rather than treating the two references as interchangeable.
For a custom casing connection, provide the full designation and current drawing revision. Check engagement length, seating clearance and removal requirements on the intended pipe end. Similar nominal casing sizes can require different protector geometry.
An all-plastic protector and a metal-plastic composite protector are separate constructions. Specify any reinforcement, closure or handling requirement on the ordered design. The custom molding description alone does not establish impact, ingress or sealing performance.
Casing connection references include BTC, STC and LTC, with nominal size references within the broader 2-3/8 to 20 inch range subject to drawing and availability review.
