Plastic Drill Pipe Protector Caps for Pin and Box End Orders
Plastic drill pipe protector caps cover matching tool-joint threads during transport and storage. Specify pin and box items separately using the complete connection designation and drawing. HDPE and ABS are alternative material references; select the approved grade for each molded item.
When ordering both pipe ends, confirm the geometry and quantity for each orientation. A pin-end protector and a box-end protector must be matched to their respective mating surfaces; a shared connection name does not make the two items interchangeable.
Agree cap depth, engagement, seating clearance and required coverage for each end. All-plastic and metal-plastic composite designs require separate construction specifications. A cap name does not establish pressure sealing, ingress protection or product-standard conformity.
Connection references include NC26, NC38, NC50 and REG designations, subject to drawing and availability review. The broader 2-3/8 to 20 inch range and BTC/STC/LTC casing references require separate item selection. State connection, pin/box orientation, polymer grade, coverage and quantity on each order line.
