Specify the nominal pipe size, complete connection designation and whether protection is required for a pin or box end. The size and thread references listed above cover different connection families; a matching diameter alone does not establish thread fit. Provide the connection drawing or approved sample for custom or proprietary threads.
Identify plastic or steel-plastic construction, required end coverage and handling conditions. Include stacking, transport and storage exposure when defining protection requirements. A thread protector protects the connection during handling; it does not establish the pressure rating of the pipe connection.
