1. What proves compatibility with a grease head?
Provide the equipment manufacturer, head model, tube part number and drawing revision. Compare bore, outside dimensions, end features and overall length against that specification.
A similar-looking tube or matching length does not establish interchangeability; confirm the complete drawing and assembly requirements.
2. What inspection details should be specified?
a. Bore diameter, tolerance and measurement method.
b. Bore finish and straightness requirements.
c. Overall length and outside-profile dimensions.
d. End-feature and retaining-surface condition.
e. Material identification and traceability requirements.
f. Surface-treatment specification and acceptable defects.
g. Required inspection report and part identification.
3. How are material and conformity requirements confirmed?
1. Confirm the listed AISI 4145 grade through order-specific material records.
2. Specify heat treatment and mechanical properties where required.
