State continuous temperature, short-term peaks, dwell time, thermal cycles and load during heating. Include mating materials and allowable changes in clearance or dimensions. Agree sample checks after the specified thermal exposure before setting a service-temperature requirement.

PEEK grade selection for thermal and mechanical duty:
1) Unfilled PEEK: specify the resin grade and required mechanical and dimensional checks.
2) Glass-filled PEEK: specify filler content and grade; review fibre orientation, tolerances and the required electrical properties.
3) Bearing-grade PEEK: identify the exact compound and required sliding conditions.Review counterface, load, speed, lubrication and wear acceptance criteria for the bearing design.
4) Food-contact requirements: identify the applicable regulation and obtain documents for the exact material grade and use conditions.
