Application
Application of NBR and HNBR O-Ring Selection:
NBR and HNBR are separate compound designations and should be specified separately for the intended sealing duty. Provide the medium, temperature, pressure and motion when selecting a custom ring. Color and an abbreviated hardness reference do not identify the exact formulation. The original nitrile terminology also describes NBR o-rings; confirm the requested material designation and compound specification on the order.
Product Description
Provide inside diameter, cross-section, units and tolerances or a complete standard size designation. Confirm production feasibility for the individual ring.
NBR and HNBR options require separate formulation and service review. FKM, EPDM and silicone alternatives are specified separately.
