The characteristics and scope of application

The bucket type turbine is also called the Petion turbine. It relies on the jet from the nozzle to impact the bucket blades along the tangent direction of the runner circumference. Bucket turbines have higher application heads. Small buckets are used for heads of 40-250m, and large buckets are used for heads of 400 to 4500m.
