Aluminum skiving fin heat sink is manufactured by peeling the individual sheets from a solid aluminum metal then lift it up and bend it vertically to form the skiving fins, skived fin heat sink can achieve high aspect ratio, very thin fins, and very small fin pitch, it's also an alternative option for extruded heatsink when the requirements of fin thickness and fin pitch could not be achieved by extruding process.Skiving fin heatsink offers high cooling performance as the structure can provide much more heat dissipation surface area to improve the heat dissipation performance.Also the skived fins are produced from the base, so there is no interface joint(thermal resistance) between the fins and base,which makes the skived fins heat sink has great thermal conductivity. For some high power electronic devices, we also can embed some heat pipes inside the base to further improve the thermal performance.
